Cookie policy

Two categories, six cookies, and one of the categories is optional and off until you say otherwise.

Effective September 3, 2026 Last reviewed September 3, 2026

What a cookie is

A small file a website asks your browser to store, so it can recognize the browser on a later request. Some are structural, they are how a site remembers a preference between pages. Others exist to measure behavior. This site uses a few of the first kind and, optionally, three of the second.

Your control

Analytics cookies are off by default. Nothing in the analytics category is set until you accept it, and declining is a single click that is remembered. You can change your answer at any time using the Cookie preferences link in the footer of every page, the same panel, with your current setting shown.

Declining does not degrade the site. Nothing is gated, slowed, or hidden behind consent.

Strictly necessary

These make the site function and cannot be switched off. They are set by this domain only and contain no personal information.

NamePurposeLasts
nd-consent-v1 Stores your cookie choice so you are not asked on every page. Contains only your answer and the date you gave it. 12 months
nd-csrf Protects the contact form against cross-site request forgery. Set only when a form is loaded. Session

Analytics, optional, off unless you accept

Set by Google Analytics 4 to count visits and understand which pages are read. IP anonymisation is on and Google advertising features (Signals, remarketing, ad personalisation) are disabled at the property level.

NamePurposeLasts
_ga Distinguishes one browser from another so returning visits are not double-counted. 24 months
_ga_<ID> Holds the session state for this specific property. 24 months
_gid Distinguishes browsers within a single day. 24 hours

If you decline, Google Consent Mode sends a cookieless, anonymous signal in place of the tag. I get an aggregate page count; nothing is written to your device and nothing identifies you or your session.

What is not here

No advertising or remarketing pixels. No Meta, LinkedIn or TikTok tags. No session recording, heatmaps or mouse tracking. No cross-site tracking, no data brokers, no fingerprinting, and nothing sold or shared for anyone else's marketing. If that ever changes, this page and the consent panel change first.

Embedded content from other services, a video player, a booking widget, can set its own cookies. Anything embedded on this site is listed here before it goes live.

Managing cookies in your browser

Separately from the panel on this site, every major browser lets you block or delete cookies for individual sites or all sites: look for Privacy and Security in Chrome, Edge or Brave; Privacy & Security in Firefox; or Privacy in Safari. Blocking strictly necessary cookies means this site cannot remember your consent choice, so you will be asked again on every visit.

Changes

This page is updated whenever a cookie is added or removed, with the effective date at the top. See also the Privacy Policy for what happens to the data itself. Questions: contact@nondescripts.com. Effective September 3, 2026.

Cookie preferences

Strictly necessary cookies keep the site working and cannot be switched off. Everything else is your call, and you can change it any time from the link in the footer.
